Narcissus requires a talented, organised and creative Florist with experience of wedding flowers to join our team. Candidates applying for this position must have a minimum of 2 years experience of working as a wedding florist in a fast paced, high-end floristry environment. This is an excellent opportunity for florists who enjoy working in a varied, creative environment whilst having a large degree of control over their own designs. 

Main responsibilities 

  • Meeting with the client to produce designs and quotations for weddings. Managing the planning, producing and installing of the wedding flowers with your assistants.
  • Working on the shop floor of our busy, friendly and exciting retail environment. Maintaining the display to a very high standard and producing florist designs.
  • Assisting to produce flowers for corporate customers in our workshop for our clients’ venues throughout the city.
  • Assisting at our Flower School when required.

Part-time Florist for Saturday work, The Flower Store

We are looking for someone to join our flower team within our concession in Wholefoods Market.

Some floristry knowledge would be helpful but not essential. Training will be given in store.

Your duties would include:

  • Conditioning the flowers and preparing them for sale and display.
  • Helping customers with their choices and advice.
  • General cleaning duties.

To start the hours will be 8am -4pm Saturday. This shift is to help our florist prepare for the busy Saturday. With experience this may progress to Saturday evening shift and the occasional Sunday.

There will also be an opportunity to cover during holiday times and busy periods.

  • A full clean UK drivers licence

Key responsibilities

  • Styling displays and installing arrangements on site (in store and restaurants)   
  • Growing the business through establishing and fulfilling corporate relationships
  • Conditioning and maintenance of floristry product at the highest level, including display items throughout the store, restaurants and courtyard
  • Providing expert advice on flowers and their care to customers
  • Delivering one-on-one and group florist training to the rest of the team
  • Assisting in developing product offer: through providing regular feedback on customer requests, and through identifying and catering to trends and one-off custom opportunities

You will design some of our other contracts, events and private orders. You will be responsible for ordering, buying and making flowers with help of freelancers when required.
