This role is perfect for a fun and motivated individual who loves to push the creative boundaries, has an innate sense for detail and a passion for floristry. To solely manage our Battersea studio ensuring it runs efficiently and profitably. This is a role where you will have a lot of your own autonomy to make the role your own.

Tasks:
  • Managing events that are confirmed by team which will include liaising with Event Manager, ordering flowers, vases and any props required as well as involvement in event delivery.
  • To be on site when installing events and weddings
  • Be the first point of contact for all studio-based issues
  • Help manage our office by looking after IT, doing stationery orders, etc.
  • Go to market as and when required
  • Order flowers online
  • Organising and conditioning flowers as they are delivered from our suppliers
  • Create a system that works for you in order to ensure the smooth running of all events delivered via the studio
  • General oversee of all operations in the studio bringing your own skills to improve current processes
  • Manage all full time and freelance florists and ensure they are delivering events to the highest standard
  • Booking and managing the time of all freelancers
  • Keeping the studio clean and tidy at all times
  • Regular stock takes and implementation of systems to manage this
  • Manage the prop hire side of the business to ensure it is profitable and that all deliveries and returned are managed
  • Opening and closing studio at the start and end of each day
  • Keeping the external part of the studio clean and tidy and liaise with any external contractors in order to uphold this

Experience:

A minimum of 5 years’ floristry experience, confidence in event floristry build, able to lead a team on site, must be able to work well in high pressure environments, be good at time keeping and be computer literate. Full clean driving license also required. You must be a team player and happy to work flexible hours.

Studio Manager & PA (6 month Contract - with a view to extend), Grandirosa

Job type: Full Time role - Monday to Friday (With occasional weekend work & some early mornings)

Salary: Starting £23,000 - experience depending

We are a busy East London floristry studio looking for an experienced, capable and highly organised Studio Manager & PA (preferably with experience within the floristry industry) to join our growing team.
This role will require the individual to work closely alongside the Company Directors and the florists, with an emphasis on building relationships with our various clients. The key responsibility will be keeping the studio running smoothly at all times.

Other main tasks and responsibilities will include:-

  • Managing client enquires (phone and email)
  • Mid and low level project and event management
  • Attending client briefing and meetings for events, wedding etc
  • Preparing proposals for clients Sourcing / buying props and flowers
  • Organising transportation of goods (flowers props)
  • Management and scheduling of contractors
  • Ensuring that the studio is organised and is looking its best at all times with the support from the rest of the team
  • Managing the staff rota and events schedules General PA duties Invoice/receipt uploading & expenses management

  • Be enthusiastic, diligent and proactive
  • Hard working with a ‘muck in approach’ attitude
  • Comfortable working on their own initiative as well as working within a team
  • Be confident with Word/Excel/ppt/gmail etc
  • Be confident in a client facing role Have a full clean drivers licence

Florists Warehouse Assistant, Wildabout Flowers

Working in a fast-paced environment you will need to be physically fit and happy to lift and move heavy items, adapt quickly to different tasks given. The role requires you to take pride in your work cleaning and preparing props and glassware to a high standard. You will be responsible for ensuring all the props are ready to use and returned to and stored in the correct warehouse location. Keeping the warehouse tidy and refuse recycled correctly.

The Flower Store is looking for a friendly, positive and creative florist to join our team within Wholefoods Market Kensington.

Retail experience and friendly customer interaction is a must.Working in positive surroundings within our small friendly team to provide excellent customer service and creative floristry skills. As one of three full time and one part time florist you will work to a rota of 5 days per week to cover opening times of 8am - 10pm, Monday to Saturday.
