Events & Weddings Manager, Hayford & Rhodes

About the role:

We are looking for an experienced, artistic, friendly and well organised Events & Weddings Manager with at least five years’ experience. The right candidate will have excellent knowledge of flowers and floristry trends, a careful and detailed approach to work and a warm and welcoming communication style.  

You will play a pivotal role in achieving the right look ensuring the designs come to life with creative edge and a luxury feel.  This is a fast moving and exciting role and we are looking for someone fun, creative and who works well with a team to join our ever growing and exciting company.

The role is focused on building wedding and event sales opportunities within venues, event and wedding planners, corporate clients and private clients.

You will need to be proactive, confident and experienced in managing and designing events and weddings from concept through to completion, including creating quotes, meeting with wedding couples and managing consultations for prospective clients.

Project management skills and calmness under pressure are a must.  As a brand ambassador of Hayford & Rhodes, networking within the Event & Wedding industry will be an integral part of your role. 

You will also need to have excellent English and excellent computer literacy.

The role includes: 

  • Managing and liaising with a diverse portfolio of clients, from initial approach through to event delivery and post-event follow-up.
  • Keeping up to date with communication and project management using our CRM system. 
  • Creating unique, design-led bespoke quotes.
  • Planning logistics including flower ordering, buying and hiring props.
  • The ability to lead a team of florists in creating high-level floral designs.
  • Working under pressure at times, including some early morning, evening and weekend work.

Experienced Florist, Pesh Flowers

We are looking for a creative florist to join us at our shop in Camberwell London SE5. We are a long established busy shop in South East London who supplies flowers into Central London and Kent. 

We are a hands on deck team and we cater for all aspects of floristry: events, weddings, gifts, funeral, corporate, relay as well as run floral workshops. We need someone with a great eye for design and be adaptable to the role as it presents itself each day, no two is ever the same!  A warm, friendly personality and good communication skills are all a must. 

Some previous management experience may be useful but not essential.

Please bring enthusiasm and creativity to work with you, punctuality is very important- we want drive and passion and a love and knowledge of flowers and plants form our team members. 

Your role in brief:

  • Dealing with clients in person and over the phone.
  • Designing and developing bouquets and displays for walk in sale and being involved in the design of products we sell online
  • Maintaining stock and stock list
  • Organising deliveries and making sure items reach clients as requested by coordinating with delivery driver 
  • Receiving and sending relay and web sale orders
  • Shop window and interior and shop front displays
  • Attending installations for events and weddings 
  • Able to be a team player and also self-motivated to work alone
  • Good math skill and written and spoken English is essential 
  • Flexible to work extra hours during peak times and on events (paid overtime)
  • Tidy and presentable 
  • Good plant and flower knowledge
  • Clean driving licence is useful but not deal breaker
