Shop Manager, Rebel Rebel

Rebel Rebel are looking for a creative and skilled florist to manage our retail shop in Mare Street Market, Hackney. The role requires a high level of experience working in a retail floristry environment as well as expressing a flair in bespoke floristry design. The new manager will be responsible for designing and making bouquets, whilst maintaining Rebel Rebel’s signature standards.

We are a small yet efficient team and are looking for a like minded person to manage our enthusiastic florists and loyal customer base. Being comfortable managing freelancers as well as permanent staff is essential. The position also includes general shop administration, maintaining excellent relations with our numerous contracts, whilst working closely with other vendors at Mare Street Market. You will have a significant amount of creative freedom within this role; self-motivation and confidence is very important, all whilst knowing the Rebel team are there to support and guide you. There will be one early morning market buying trip as part of your week.

  • Managing the day to day running of the Rebel Rebel shop
  • Designing and creating bespoke bouquets for orders and customers.
  • Leading a team of freelance shop staff
  • Ordering and purchasing flowers and plants
  • Curating other shop products such as vases/cards/sundries
  • Responsible for shop admin
  • Occasional installation and event work with the wider Rebel team
  • Maintaining excellent relations with contracts
  • Full clean drivers licence

Senior Designer and Florist, NB Flowers

We are looking for an experienced florist with an exceptional eye for design. The role includes floristry as well as customer service, and in house management. You will design some of our other contracts, events and private orders. You will be responsible for ordering, buying and making flowers with help of freelancers when required. We are a very small close working team, working with some fabulous clients. We are looking for somebody who would fit in well to the team, as well as having the all important eye, experience, and flair, to provide flowers to the highest standards in London. Self motivated and resourceful, you are given a very free reign and we support you to achieve your best.


  • Designing all contracts, events and private orders assigned to you
  • Managing a team of freelancers when working on your event
  • Creating shopping lists for flowers
  • Ordering and purchasing flowers
  • Maintaining contract flowers through the week
  • Working closely with venues on their promotions and special events
  • Assist Creative Director on a large scale events.
  • Design and install event flowers to venues and private residences when required.

Required Skills:

  • High level of flower design and flower knowledge
  • Passionate about your work and the detail of flowers
  • Excellent verbal and written English.
  • Basic Microsoft Office and Outlook skills
  • Highly organised and self-motivated individual that works well under pressure
  • Full clean driving licence.
