Lights to be projected from the market for Line of Light Festival

Lights to be projected from the market for Line of Light Festival

21 Oct, 2021

Lights will be projected from the roof of the Food Exchange at New Covent Garden Market as part of the free Line of Light festival, which takes place on 29 and 30 October.

The Line of Light will follow the route of the new tube line from Kennington station to Battersea Power Station, via the new Nine Elms station. Light beams will illuminate the two new stations and a selection of buildings along the route will also be lit up with colourful visual projections.

Two festival hubs will be open from 4pm to 9pm on both dates, with live music and food stalls. The hubs will be located at New Union Square (Embassy Gardens), and Wilcox Road (across the road from Nine Elms station).

Line of Light is presented by London Borough of Wandsworth and London Borough of Lambeth, with partners Battersea Power Station, Embassy Gardens, R&F Properties, Urbanest and VINCI St. Modwen. Supporting partners are TfL and Vauxhall One, and the event is delivered with technical partner Pani Projection and Lighting.

If you attend the event, please remember that the market continues to operate in the evenings, so please take care and be aware of vehicles on site.
