The Greenwood Centre is a community resource centre in Kentish Town, NW5, offering a range of services and activities that support independence, inclusion, health and wellbeing.
“We were hoping to be able to make some Christmas wreaths,” explains Sharon Carter, Assistant Practitioner at Greenwood Mental Health Service. With holy, pine sprigs and Christmas related greenery supplied by Flower Market business GB Foliage, residents at The Greenwood Centre were able to take part in a community event that that made Christmas extra special.
“Thanks to the support of Covent Garden Flower Market our Greenwood women’s group had a wonderful afternoon putting together Christmas wreaths using their generous donations,” says Sharon. “We hope that next year, all being well, we can do it again.”
The Greenwood Centre houses Camden’s first ever Centre for Independent Living (CIL). It is led by and for disabled people and run by Camden voluntary sector disability organisations, and aims to respond to the needs of the people of Camden.
