We spoke to Hannah Turner, Marketing Manager about their home deliveries:

Who are your main customers?

We supply to the top tier of restaurants and gastropubs in London. For our home delivery, we supply London postcodes within the M25.

Proudly, a lot of foodies shop with us due to our heritage as British farmers and expertise in selecting fresh produce and artisan foods.

This shouldn’t put families off though! Families that shop with us are delighted at the value and quality of the produce.

Are there any festive products or fresh produce that you would like to highlight?

We have beautiful, variegated kale that almost look like flowers, very tasty and stunning to plate up. We are so proud of our British farmers.

Britain’s orchards produce stunning Conference pears, which can be enjoyed at the moment.

For that ultimate Christmas decorative and refreshing snack, we have the juiciest, highly scented leafy clementines! I could go on-and-on!

Do you have a nice, uplifting story about your home delivery business and the people behind it?

Customer feedback "Absolutely fantastic company. We are in isolation with vulnerable people and they have been a lifeline."

Do you have testimonials from your customers about the home delivery boxes?

Here are a selection:

I have tried several food delivery companies and Classic Veg Box is absolutely the best. Impeccable quality, variety, price and delivery. Their offering cannot be faulted as far as I'm concerned: delivered in open flat cardboard boxes so nothing is squashed, packed in open paper and transparent bags (no nasty plastic bags) - everything looks appetising and fresh - brought to the door by a really nice driver from the company. I am a big fan!

I've been using the produce since lockdown started - I am astonished at how fresh and delicious everything is, it completely outclasses anything from the supermarket. On top of that, there is always prompt delivery, the food is carefully packaged, and it's good value. I can't recommend the service highly enough!

We are now regular users of this excellent service. We started a few weeks after lockdown and have not regretted it. The quality of the fresh produce has been so much better than even the top supermarkets. We have feasted on asparagus, strawberries and Jersey Royals this spring. I should also mention the dairy . They stock Rodda’s Cornish milk and cream which are great too. Moreover customer service has been prompt and friendly. Peter has helped when I have made mistakes in my order or lost the email. If they continue doing home delivery I doubt that I will buy supermarket produce again.

Anything else you would like to share?

Yes! We are launching a new website early in the New Year. Please try us out as a refreshing change.

You will receive outstanding produce and staples. We work closely with incredible British farmers and independent artisanal producers. You purchasing choices will support them too.

Koffmann’s success built on British farming family values

The British family firm that brought the UK foodservice sector Koffmann’s potatoes has seen business boom since the hospitality sector re-opened post-Covid. Prior to the pandemic, the brand had built a very healthy following for its frozen potato products, but since the country began to rebound, it has increased its sales to 1,000 tonnes of fresh potatoes a week. A rapidly-growing customer base can’t get enough.
