I’m a food journalist who loves markets and getting up early – perfect for this job! Over the years, I’ve written for The Guardian, The Daily Telegraph, Financial Times and others, and reported for The Food Programme (Radio 4). I am the author of 'The Urban Kitchen Gardener: Growing and Cooking in the City', [http://www.amazon.co.uk/Urban-Kitchen-Gardener-Growing-Cooking/dp/1856269868], Kyle Books.

My other life is as a teacher, working in primary schools and as a horticultural trainer - helping people of all ages to grow and cook their own food.
