On 22 September, the Flower Market is offering florists an exclusive opportunity for professional development in funeral floristry, as two top floral designers share their passion for floral tributes in a morning of inspirational demonstrations and workshops.
8am-9.30am Free Demonstration by Claire Cowling and Tina Parkes on the Flower Market Stage compered by industry expert, Andrea Caldecourt.
Claire Cowling is an internationally acclaimed designer, Chelsea Gold medallist, tutor and publisher. Her company’s “Straight from the Heart” series on funeral work and bridal floristry has generated a loyal following, and Claire’s designs have featured in the International Annual of Floral Art and Fusion Flowers Magazine. www.thrivefloristry.com
Tina Parkes is the only English designer to have achieved the prestigious qualification of Dutch Master Florist, following two years of intensive study in Holland. As the co-owner of the Academy of Floral Art in Devon and a former head of floristry and Bicton College, Tina tutors students from Level 2 to Level 5 and is a an experienced demonstrator. www.academyoffloralart.com

Following the demonstration, Claire Cowling will be offering a stunning selection of floristry publications for sale from the Thrive Floristry Bookshop. You will have a rare opportunity to browse through the books before you buy.
Funeral Flowers Workshops - fee-paying floral workshops for professional florists
This is an exciting and exclusive opportunity to work with Claire and Tina to learn new techniques and perfect your creative ideas and further your ongoing professional development. These two-hour funeral flowers workshops upstairs in the Flower Market will follow on from the demonstration and develop the themes and techniques introduced earlier through personal tuition and small group demonstrations.
Spaces are limited to just 30 florists per workshop and advance booking is essential. Each workshop costs £65.00 (this includes VAT) and includes all the flowers, foliage and floral sundries, as well as tuition, light refreshments and free entry to the Flower Market.
